Day 05: De-Toxify Your Body!~ Purify, Exfoliate & Moisturize

Today's menu includes: 2 cups Authentic Wu-Yi Tea, 24 oz. Distilled Water w/8 oz. Organic Lime Juice/1/4 cup 100% Pure Grade B Maple Syrup /1 tsp. Cayenne Pepper, 1 cup Smooth Move.

I think that it's very important to fast every Friday through Sunday. Without being too "religious" or "preachy" here, my decision to do so comes from my life experiences and my relationship with God. Some people worship the Sabbath on Friday, Some Saturday, Some Sunday,... With this in mind, I have often contemplated doing a complete zero-food-fast from Sunrise to Sunset on each day - But, for now, a simple cleansing fast is what I find works best for me.

To keep things "moving along" I started first thing in the morning with a Fleet, Glycerin Suppository (Yep, I said suppository). This will unblock and unload anything in your lower bowels that have not evacuated. Follow the package directions carefully.

In the evening, just before bedtime, I am drinking a cup of Caffeine Free, Smooth Move Stimulant Herbal Laxative. There are other products that you can use such as the Ultra Slim Dieter's Tea but I prefer the taste and the "experience" with Smooth Move better.

After the "experience"... I showered and polished my skin with a Southern French Lavender Organic Salt Scrub. This will relax you and you will step out of the shower feeling soft and "touchable". Smooth this all over you in the shower and you will see and feel the results of purifying, exfoliating and moisturizing your skin immediately. A must do for me at least once a week. I found this product at the Whole Foods Market.

After showering, I had a cup of Authentic Wu-Yi Tea (that I ordered from Wu-Yi Source online) with 4 drops of Stevia Extract. . This is my last box of Wu-Yi Tea and when it runs out, I am not sure I will reorder through Wi-Yi Source. I found an asian market in the area and plan to try out other products as well. I love the taste of Wu-Yi but prefer Black Green Tea.

Throughout the day, I will drink this combination of: 8 oz. Organic Lime Juice, 1/4 cup 100% Pure Grade B Maple Syrup and 1 tsp. Cayenne Pepper in 24 oz. of Distilled Water. If this recipe has a familiar ring to it, it is a modified version of Stanley Burroughs' Master Cleanse Diet that he created in 1941.

I armed my tray with everything that I will need for the day and added items to keep my on track if I still feel hungry or thirsty: In the left side of the tray is a can of Swanson's 100% Fat Free Vegetable Broth, a can of No Sugar Added Pear Chunks, and on the right - Caffeine Free Twinings Herbal Unwind (A blend of Egyptian Camomile with Apple). I also prepared a 32 oz bottle of Distilled water and 4 servings of Apple Cider Vinegar and a small bowl of Peppermint Tea.

6:42PM
I am in a good place physically, spiritually and emotionally. I slept today from around 12:30 to 4:45PM. I am 3/4 of the way finished with my 32 oz bottle of Master Cleanse. I like it in a glass filled with ice and I have been adding 1-2 drops of Stevia to it.

I just returned from the Walmart. I think I am beginning to understand why Walmart is popular. I had a hard time convincing myself to buy no name brand items initially but once I read the nutrition labels and tried some of the products I realized that there really is not reason why I should pay more for the staples. Furthermore, I didn't go out for a social visit and to browse, I knew what I wanted and was able to ring myself up at one of the Self Checkout Counters. The only real drawback was that they don't carry Tri-tip and when I asked about it, the man (Michael) that was stocking the meat display looked at me as if i was speaking to him in Greek. He was puzzled by my question but said that he will ask the butcher about it. I thanked him but will go to Penn Dutch at a later date to buy the Tri-tip and continue to shop at Whole Foods Market and The Fresh Market for the Specialty items such as Almond Butter. Here is what I bought:

2lbs. Roma Tomatoes, 1lbs. Limes, 3 Grapefruit, 2 bags of Russet Potatoes (they were 2 for $5.00), 1 bag of Skinless Chicken Breasts, 1 bag of Frozen Tilapia, 1 can of Fat Free Chicken Broth w/ 33% Less Sodium, 100% Fat Free Beef Broth with 50% Less Sodium, Sodium Free Green Beans, Unsalted Butter, FatFree Sour Cream, and a can of Smart Balance cooking Spray. The Grand Total came to $34.95.

Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner-Snack #1 consisted of the Master Cleanse. Going to the store to buy fresh lime really made all the difference in the world. What a difference fresh limes makes! Visually, it is more appealing and adding fresh lime juice and sliced limes perked me up!
