Day 06: Practice Detachment!

A Sixteenth Century priest, St. John of the Cross was quoted as saying "Live in the world as if only God and your soul were in it; then your heart will never be made captive by any earthly thing." Reading this, I can see that mastering detachment, or the ability to overcome the desire for worldly things, such as: relationships, means that it is imperative to develop a healthy independence from people. To understand this means to understand that there is NEVER any need to offend or to hurt others with our opinions.

Do NOT hang on to anything or anyone that adds weight on you or makes your mood heavy. Practicing detachment should be a lifelong goal that you work on daily. Write anything that is stressful or painful to you in the sand. If you don't, you will continue to feel heavy and ironically, be heavy.

Mentally assert yourself! Maintain a positive and deliberate mental attitude. Be "empathetically" mature; you do not have to engage yourself in the emotions of others (namely family and friends.). Give people space. Your load is burden enough, metaphorically speaking. "

Give the universe the control and the time it needs to manifest the proper conditions for your affirmations to work.
This shows the faith you have in knowing that it will provide you with the exact thing you want. Sometimes, even better than what you want."(Emotional Detachment. Law of Abundance Living.,Your personal Passport to Prosperity. www.law-of-abundance-living.com/

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Snack: Master Cleanse, Day 2

I can get use to this! I wonder if I can do this for 10 Days? I think I am going to try and find out... I don't want to do the Salt Water Flush in the mornings though - that alone will deter me from sticking to it! Last year, I lasted two weeks on it and lost 22 lbs. I've kept of the weight but I will find other, less distasteful ways to keep things moving.
