Day 11 - Roca Labs Journal

PHOTO: The dress I wore on New Year's Eve, 1988. I was already a mother of 2. I may be too old to wear this dress, conservatively, but I would like to be able to put this dress on, one more time.

7:00AM Breakfast

2 poached Eggland's Eggs, 1 serv. 1/8 Polska kielbasa, pinto beans w/leftover bits of beef steak.

Not hungry most of the day. Worked on my other blog until I felt hungry, at 1:50PM.

1:50PM Lunch

Beef Steak (3oz),Green Giant's "healthy weight" vegetables, and a glass of Bolthouse "Green Goodness"

Took me a while to finish eating...Picked at it for a little while. I suppose i should have just stopped eating but I didn't want to over eat later because I didn't eat enough. I ate all my veggies (smile).

Snack

#1. Sun Chips

Dinner: beef and pinto beans

Snack:

#2. Cashews

Rearranged furniture in living room and bedroom...Took a couple of hours. My ankles are very swollen right now so I sent my son to go get some Aleve.
-I am going to drink Distilled water (a gallon) between tonight and tomorrow.
-Not feeling quite right. I think I am eating too much meat. Especially red meat. Don't know why I have had such a strong taste for it except that it makes me feel full, faster and longer.

Went on Healthline to enter in my symptoms...
-edema (swollen ankles and feet
-fatigue/tired
-nausea
-discoloration on toenails

My feet still have Baby Powder on them but who cares, right? I am more embarrassed about the fact that I haven't shaved my legs since I have been on vacation.

Healthline gave me 6 possible conditions, all of which were scary.

Random thoughts
-I am already taking meds for hypertension and should be on meds for high cholesterol. -I need to find a new doctor and make changes, quickly, in my diet.
-It's not enough to just lose weight.
-I have to make sure I am walking every day and I change my diet.
-I have to return to work soon. I teach high school remedial reading. It's a very stressful job. My health is much more important...Maybe I should consider a career change. Soon.
