Day 9- Roca Labs Journal: DOWN 3"!

Photo from Petite Women Come in All Sizes

Fundamentally, two things, a small waist-to-hip ratio and long hair signal health and vitality in women.

Which is why women my age (40ish) who may also be pre/post/menopausal have such a difficult time "projecting" high fecundity (the ability to conceive). Biologically, we are on the low end of the fertility spectrum. And, to be quite frank, I don't have a problem with that.

The ideal, for women in my generation, was Barbie. Barbie, however, IF she was a REAL women, would be 6" tall and only weight 100 lbs, wear a size 4 and have the following hip-to-waist ratio: 39-20-30 (.66)!

This is NOT my ideal!

What is MY Ideal?
My perfect weight is: 118lbs.
My perfect hip-to-waist ratio is: 34-26-34
My perfect dress size is: 6

This is me (far left) with the above, aforementioned measurements circa 1992 in Marco Island, Florida at a Black & White Ball w/my friend Viv. Tanned and already a mother of two (a 5 and a 4 year old, respectively).

Well, as we all know, NO ONE IS PERFECT so My Goal is to be 36-26-36.

I don't know what my measurements were in the above photo (I'm on the right) but I know I wasn't a size 6. I believe I was a size 10 or 11 )not my ideal weight). Even though, at this size, I was constantly worried and struggling to control my weight and felt fat, today, this looks healthy and acceptable. for me. This is my "happy" weight.
